15,000 sqm eco-friendly facility feature-packed to also handle dangerous

cargo

(Jakarta, July 27, 2011) PT Schenker Petrolog Utama with partner Hacaca Logistics

has opened a 15.000 square meter, state-of-the-art warehouse in Jakarta. The

new DB Schenker - Hacaca distribution centre is located in a strategic

developing area, which is close to the ocean port and has easy access to

Jakarta’s inner and outer ring roads. The warehouse offers comprehensive

services – such as Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Project Reports,

International and Domestic Distribution and cross docking services – while

meeting the highest Quality, Safety, Security, Health and Environment (QSSHE)

standards.

As a multi-client warehouse it offers firewall storage for Dangerous Goods,

general cargo storage, spare parts storage and air-conditioned rooms. For

general safety and Dangerous Goods handling the distribution centre provides

heat reducer walls, exhaust, hydrants, smoke detectors, fire sprinklers and

spillage captive compartments.

In line with the ecoprogramm of DB Schenker the warehouse has incorporated

eco-friendly features. It reduces consumption of electricity, through Glass Block,

LED Lightning and an overlap heat insulators roof for optimal ventilation. Plus,

the underground rainwater collection tank for reuse.

With the Warehouse Management System – which also encourages paperless

workflow – transactions and reports can be made faster and it has the capability

to interface with many other clients systems.

With this new distribution centre PT Schenker Petrolog Utama and Hacaca’s

partnership exploits the synergy between an international and a local company.

DB Schenker can actively strengthen and extend a common market position

with Hacaca. Worldwide DB Schenker has around 2,000 locations in 130

countries. PT Schenker Petrolog Utama combines more than 30 years

forwarding experience in Indonesia. DB Schenker has been active in Indonesia

since 1974 and in March 2000 the Joint Venture between DB Schenker and PT

Petrolog Indah was established. Currently over 450 employees are in 18 offices

in Indonesia.
