The Indonesian market for civil security technologies and services offers interesting business opportunities for Indonesian and German companies. With major infrastructure and building construction projects ongoing and in the planning the demand for security technology continues to grow. Until 2019 it is expected that 2 million sqm of new of new office space will become available in Jakarta and 300,000 sqm in Surabaya. On top of that there are several apartment and mall projects in the making. Furthermore the government has been pushing for the construction or upgrade of new or existing air- and seaports. The necessary security technology, like fire alarm systems, has to be sourced abroad.
In- and outside of the urban centers Indonesia too often has to deal with natural desasters. To increase predictability and mitigate the impacts of those events modern technology needs to be utilized.
