Mercedes-Bens celebrated Indonesian women in Kartini Day’s by holding She’s Mercedes, a platform dedicated to inspiring, connecting and empowering women to unleash their best. The name Mercedes-Benz itself can be traced back to two women: Mercedes Jelinek, the daughter of an Austrian businessman who pioneered the selling of Daimler vehicles in 1898, and Bertha Benz, Karl Benz’s wife and the first person to undertake a long-distance car ride in the early days of motorized vehicles.
