Background

To electrify Indonesia’s remote areas diesel gensets have often been the first choice. To increase the efficiency of existing gensets photovoltaic and small wind power plants offer interesting opportunities for the reduction the expenses for fuel and transport. The state-owned energy company PLN has a plan to electrify almost all inhabited islands and to use 23% of renewable energy until 2025. The government of Indonesia provides incentives feed-in tariffs, tax reductions and eases the import of renewable energy equipment.

The webinar and online B2B meetings shall enrich the discussion regarding the advancement of renewable energy in Indonesia and shall provide a platform for the initiation of long-lasting business relationships between German and Indonesian partners.

This event series is part of the “Energy Solutions Made in Germany” initiative of the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) and will be organized in partnership with the eclareon GmbH from Germany.
