EKONID to promote Indonesia in Germany

22.06.2022

As part of EKONID’s effort to promote economic cooperation between Jakarta and Berlin, AHK Indonesia will take part in three events with the German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHK) in Germany.

The German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHK) represent all commercial enterprises in Germany. They work closely with AHKs from all over the world to drive cooperation opportunities for German businesses to other countries. With the COVID-19 pandemic finally subsiding and physical events being held again, the IHKs are eager to weigh up the possibilities for German companies to grow abroad.

Joining forces, the IHKs in the federal state of Hesse, the IHKs in the federal state of Northrhine-Westphalia, and the IHKs in Berlin-Brandenburgwill conduct events with the AHKs  and present foreign trade prospects to German businesses. Through one-on-one consulting live-on-site, German companies will have a chance to explore potential investments in foreign countries, including Indonesia on June 24 (at IHK Bonn/Rhein-Sieg), June 28 (at IHK Frankfurt am Main), and June 29 (at IHK Postdam).

As the archipelagic nation pushes further towards developing renewable energies for public mobility and for the creation of its new capital, as well as in promoting the recently launched “Green Infrastructure Initiative”, German companies will have new starting points in expanding their businesses to Indonesia.

In this regard, Martin Kohoutek, Deputy Executive Director at AHK Indonesia, will attend the IHK events to provide a better understanding of Indonesia’s extensive prospect. We encourage all interested companies to visit one of the events. Explore and discover the opportunities available in one of the world’s largest emerging markets.
