Hannover Messe, a home for Industrial pioneers, is making a comeback through an offline exhibition in Hannover Fairground, Germany, from April 17 to 21, 2023. The five-day event will focus on five megatrends of industry, namely AI & machine learning, carbon-neutral production, energy management, hydrogen & fuel cells, and industry 4.0, as well as the current topic of ESG – environmental, social, and governance. With the lead theme “Industrial Transformation – Making the Difference”, companies are being invited to exhibit their innovations on the road to a climate-neutral industry.
For the third time, Hannover Messe appointed Indonesia as a partner country for this prestigious event. Throughout the 70 years of the strategic bilateral relationship between both nations, Germany has become the biggest trading partner for Indonesia among European countries. As of November 2022, the Indonesian-German trade value reached Rp 92.7 trillion (roughly US $ 6.3 billion), according to Winardi Hanafy Lucky, Director for European Affairs II at the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. As quoted during the Hannover Messe Press Briefing in Jakarta on March 8, 2023, Mr. Lucky said that Indonesia's participation in Hannover Messe would boost both the trade and investment figures of both countries even further.
Also revealed during the press briefing was the Indonesian government’s intention to promote the new capital city (Nusantara) and its plan to develop a complete electric vehicle ecosystem. In addition, there would be a series of activities about industry 4.0, business summits, and various conferences at the around 3,000 square meters Indonesia Pavilion area.
AHK Indonesien (EKONID) takes part as one of the exhibitors at Indonesia Pavilion to help promote Indonesian – German business bilateral relationship. Not only will we be offering our 100 years of experience in bridging strategic economic relations between two countries, we will also highlight our German Dual Vocational & Education Training programs, which foster Indonesian human capital through partnerships with private and public vocational institutions. If you are joining Hannover Messe, come and say hello to us!
