As social distancing becomes a part of the government's new normal campaign and regulations are set up to support doing business remotely, EKONID, in Collaboration with Roedl & Partner, held an Online Roundtable session on Digital Contracting.
On June 25, 2020, EKONID, in collaboration with Roedl & Partner, held an Online Roundtable with the title “COVID-19 Practical Aspects of Digital Contracting in Indonesia”. This Online Roundtable was aimed at supporting EKONID members in obtaining information and knowledge related to the practical aspects of digital contracting in Indonesia during the COVID-19 pandemic and how companies can implement it.
A total of 14 participants from 13 different companies attended the roundtable. The speaker, Mr. Markus Schlueter, Partner at Roedl & Partner, presented the legal basis for electronic signature in Indonesia, the eligible types of documents for electronic signature in Indonesia, the validity requirements, the certified and uncertified electronic signatures, the enforcement in practice, as well as how the court view an electronic signature.
EKONID hoped that the material of this Online Roundtable would be useful for the participating companies’ business activities.
