Skilled Migration Advisory

The AHK supports German companies seeking skilled workers, interns, and trainees from Indonesia in close cooperation with Indonesian educational institutions and partner companies. Our advisory support covers the entire process, from consultation and the identification of suitable candidates, through guidance on qualification recognition, to visa applications and entry into Germany. 

Since 2024, the AHK has been providing advisory on qualification recognition and visa procedures in accordance with the Skilled Immigration Act (FEG 2.0). The AHK has built extensive knowledge of Indonesian educational qualifications and German requirements. 

Our support includes: 

1. Identification and pre-screening of suitable candidates, including an initial assessment of the recognition potential of the educational qualifications   
2. Organization and support during the interviews, as well as coordination regarding entry and visa options
3. Support with the organization of language courses and if required intercultural training   
4. Guidance on the qualification recognition process and review of the required documents   
5. Support with the visa application process and preparation for entry into Germany
6. Advisory on family reunification, if needed

4. Identification of the relevant visa category and review of supporting documents for the visa application
5. Advisory on the preparation and submission of visa documentation, throughout the visa process until the visa is issued 

We support German companies in developing and coordinating internship programs for Indonesian students and vocational trainees. Internship programs offer companies the opportunity to identify and engage talented Indonesian candidates at an early stage in a practical work environment and establish a long-term talent pool. AHK Indonesia serves as the central coordination point between companies, Indonesian educational institutions, and the relevant authorities. 

Our support includes:   

1. Assessment of talent needs in the German company and identification of relevant occupational profiles as well as educational pathways in Indonesia
2. Development of an internship program concept, including participant criteria
3. Coordination with Indonesian universities and vocational education institutions to identify suitable candidates
4. Pre-screening of candidates, as well as organization and facilitation of interviews
5. Guidance on visa requirements and administrative aspects of the internship program
6. Support in preparing participants, including intercultural orientation and insights into working life in Germany
7. Assistance throughout the visa process, including coordination with companies, educational institutions, and relevant authorities
8. Assistance throughout the internship period, providing a central contact point for companies and participants, if needed
