German Geothermal Business Delegation Visits Indonesia

From 21 to 25 of September 2026, AHK Indonesia (EKONID) hosted a German business delegation to Indonesia focusing on geothermal technologies. The programme took place in Jakarta and West Java in collaboration with Renewables Academy (RENAC) and with the support of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE). Over five days, the delegation met geothermal developers and operators, public institutions, research organisations and financing institutions and visited several geothermal sites in West Java.

EU Leaders Expected in Indonesia for Final IEU-CEPA Discussions

Indonesia Targets Completion of Single-Door Export Transition by End-2026

Indonesia is continuing the transition to a single-door export mechanism for selected strategic natural resource commodities, with the current transition period scheduled to end on 31 December 2026. The system currently covers coal, palm oil and ferroalloys.

VDMA Mining Delegation Visits Indonesia

From September 14 to 18, 2026, AHK Indonesia (EKONID) and the German Mechanical Engineering Industry Association (VDMA) organized a mining delegation to Indonesia. The programme took the delegation to Jakarta and East Kalimantan, where participants met with Indonesian mining companies and technical institutions and visited mining operations. Discussions covered technology requirements, automation, digitalisation, mineral processing and cooperation with German technology providers.
