EKONID convened a Joint Chambers Meeting with H.E. Mr. Hashim Djojohadikusumo, bringing together leading international business chambers to discuss Indonesia’s economic outlook and investment priorities ahead of 2026.

On Wednesday, 4 February 2026, AHK Indonesia/EKONID hosted a Joint Chambers Meeting at its office with H.E. Mr. Hashim Djojohadikusumo, Special Presidential Envoy for Energy and Environment of the Republic of Indonesia. The meeting was held in cooperation with BritCham Indonesia, the US-ASEAN Business Council, and AmCham Indonesia, reflecting a coordinated approach among international chambers operating in Indonesia. 

 

The discussion focused on Indonesia’s economic and investment outlook as the country moves towards 2026, including policy directions related to energy, sustainability and national development priorities. Participants exchanged views on how the private sector can align with government objectives, contribute to policy implementation, and support long-term growth through structured engagement and collaboration. 

 

The session provided an opportunity for open dialogue between the Indonesian government and the international business community, reinforcing the importance of predictable policy frameworks and continued cooperation to strengthen Indonesia’s investment climate. 

 

EKONID extends its appreciation to BritCham Indonesia and the US-ASEAN Business Council for their leadership in the meeting and values the constructive exchange with H.E. Mr. Hashim Djojohadikusumo and all participating chambers.     From 22–26 June 2026, EKONID participated in the Intersolar Europe exhibition series at Messe München in Munich, Germany, and joined site visits to two agrivoltaic photovoltaic (Agri-PV) projects in Bavaria as part of the Indonesian delegation facilitated by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). The delegation included representatives from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, PLN, the Ministry of Finance, the Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (BMKG), Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), the Indonesian Solar Energy Association (AESI), and other key stakeholders. The programme provided opportunities to engage with German companies and institutions, explore the latest renewable energy technologies, and promote Indonesia's investment potential.
