On 15 July 2026, the German-Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Indonesia) hosted the 2026 Coordination Meeting of the EU-Indonesia Business Network (EIBN), bringing together representatives from European business chambers in Indonesia to discuss ongoing activities, shared priorities, and opportunities for closer collaboration.
The meeting served as a platform for EIBN partner chambers to exchange updates on their respective initiatives, coordinate future activities, and identify areas where joint efforts can further support European companies operating in Indonesia.
Established in 2013 with co-funding from the European Union, the EIBN initiative was originally launched to support European companies in exploring and developing business opportunities in Indonesia. Following the initial programme period from 2013 to 2018, the network continued through cooperation among European chambers and business organizations in Indonesia.
The coordination meeting reaffirmed the role of EIBN as a platform for European chambers to collaborate, share knowledge, and strengthen services for their member companies. Discussions focused on enhancing coordination among partners and creating greater value for the European business community in Indonesia.
During the meeting, EKONID also welcomed the Sweden Chamber of Commerce Indonesia (SwedCham) as the newest partner chamber of EIBN, further expanding the network of European business organizations working together in Indonesia.
The participation of representatives from BritCham Indonesia, the Danish-Indonesian Business Chamber, Dutch Business Network, EKONID (AHK Indonesia), EuroCham Indonesia, the Italian Business Association in Indonesia (IBAI), Irish Chamber of Commerce Indonesia, and SwedCham reflects the continued cooperation among European business communities in supporting bilateral economic relations between Europe and Indonesia.
Through EIBN, partner chambers continue to facilitate business exchange, provide market insights, and strengthen connections between European companies and stakeholders in Indonesia. EKONID supports collaboration within the network and contributing to a stronger European business presence in the Indonesian market.
