Green energy meets digital transformation: AHK Indonesia / EKONID hosted experts from Indonesian and German companies to shape Indonesia’s next-generation of CO2-neutral data infrastructure.
From November 8–14, 2025, EKONID had the privilege of welcoming experts from Indonesian and German companies to Indonesia as part of the German Energy Solutions Initiative, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
The delegation collected technical data in Jakarta and East Kalimantan and started investigations into feasibility, exploring opportunities to develop a Green Data Center in Indonesia—a crucial step toward sustainable digital infrastructure.
The group was accompanied by Mr. Sascha Meyer – Selbst Ständig Wachsen Unternehmer Coaching GmbH as moderator, ensuring productive dialogue and collaboration throughout the mission.
Highlights of the program included:
- Meetings with key stakeholders during a roundtable discussion at the EKONID Office, focusing on collaboration for sustainable data infrastructure.
- Site visits in Jakarta and East Kalimantan to evaluate renewable energy potential and connectivity options.
