From 24 to 27 June 2026, AHK Indonesia/EKONID participated in Messe München’s ASEAN Training Days in Shanghai, organized by the International Sales team of Messe München, one of the world's leading trade fair organizers headquartered in Germany, with support from Messe Muenchen International Asia’s Shanghai office. The program gathered Messe München representatives from across ASEAN, including Indonesia, to strengthen collaboration, sales capabilities, and market knowledge within the region.
As Messe München’s representative in Indonesia, EKONID’s participation reflects the country’s growing relevance as one of ASEAN’s key markets for international trade fairs. With Southeast Asia’s largest economy, a large consumer base, and increasing demand in sectors such as logistics, manufacturing, infrastructure, and digital solutions, Indonesia offers strong potential for global industry platforms.
The training focused on deepening the representative’s understanding of Messe München’s Salesforce partner community, practical sales and customer relationship management applications, and strategies for enhancing exhibitor and visitor services. The sessions also provided an opportunity for the representative to exchange best practices, discuss market developments, and explore new approaches to promoting international trade fairs within their respective countries.
As part of the program, participants also visited transport logistic China, one of Asia’s leading trade fairs for logistics, mobility, IT, and supply chain management. The visit offered valuable insights into global developments in freight, warehousing, smart logistics, air cargo, and supply chain technology — areas that are increasingly relevant for Indonesia as connectivity, infrastructure, and digital logistics continue to develop.
EKONID was also pleased to meet Indonesian companies participating as exhibitors at the fair. The presence of three Indonesian exhibitors highlighted the country’s growing visibility in international logistics and supply chain platforms, as well as its readiness to engage more actively with global business networks.
Represented by Ms. Margareth Salindeho, Senior Executive of Business Development Department, EKONID's participation in the ASEAN Training Days further reinforces its role as the official representative of Messe München in Indonesia. By connecting Indonesian companies with Messe München’s global trade fair ecosystem, EKONID continues to support in opening pathways for market access, industry exchange, and cross-border cooperation.
