On Tuesday, 22 September 2026, EKONID held its first Member Visiting Member (M4M) program in Cikarang, bringing representatives of EKONID member companies to AstraTech and PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) for company visits, knowledge exchange, and networking.
The program was organized and facilitated by EKONID’s Membership & Events Department, with Executive Director Dr. Monika Erath, Head of Membership & Events Ms. Mei Tobing, and Membership & Events Executive Ms. Nabila Harahap coordinating the visit.
M4M was developed to provide EKONID member companies with direct access to the operations and expertise of fellow members. Through presentations, facility visits, discussions, and networking, participating companies were able to exchange experiences, learn about different business environments, and explore potential areas for cooperation within the EKONID network.
For its inaugural edition, the program brought together representatives from 13 EKONID member companies operating across manufacturing, automotive, logistics, tourism, legal and professional services, technology, and testing and certification.
At AstraTech, Mr. Henri Paul, Director of AstraTech, welcomed the participants and introduced the institution’s study programs and approach to vocational education and technical training. Participants learned more about AstraTech’s learning environment, practical training facilities, and its approach to preparing students with technical knowledge and skills aligned with industry needs.
The exchange also provided insights into the connection between education, technology, and industry, particularly in supporting workforce and skills development in Indonesia. An interactive discussion with the AstraTech team allowed participating companies to exchange perspectives and discuss potential areas for further cooperation.
The program continued at PT Astra Honda Motor’s Deltamas Plant, where Mr. Munib Asrofi, Division Head of AHM Plant Deltamas, welcomed the group. Participants received an overview of AHM’s business operations in Indonesia and its automotive manufacturing activities, including production processes, quality control, operational standards, efficiency, and the technologies used in manufacturing.
A tour of the facility provided participants with first-hand insights into AHM’s production environment, followed by a discussion and knowledge exchange between the AHM team and representatives of participating EKONID member companies.
The visits also highlighted the connection between vocational education, technical skills, and industry requirements. At the same time, the M4M format enabled EKONID member companies from different sectors to connect directly, exchange experiences, and gain a closer understanding of the operations and expertise of fellow members.
