AHK Indonesia/EKONID held its first Company Call on 22 October 2026, introducing a new format for regular dialogue with German member companies in Indonesia. The online meeting brought together representatives of member companies, the German Embassy in Jakarta, Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI) and EKONID to exchange information on current developments affecting German businesses in the country.
The session opened with a general update from Mr. Oliver Sperling, Deputy German Ambassador to Indonesia, Timor-Leste and ASEAN, followed by an overview of economic and business developments from Dr. Monika Erath, Executive Director of EKONID. Mr. Oliver Döhne, Director of Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI) Indonesia, provided an update on Indonesia's macroeconomic situation.
The EKONID team also presented information relevant to member companies, including regulatory developments, tender opportunities and upcoming activities. These updates were delivered by Ms. Nurul Khasbullah, Head of the Legal and Investment Consultation Department, and Mr. Stephan Blocks, Head of the Business Development Department.
The meeting concluded with an open exchange, allowing participating companies to raise current business challenges, share their priorities and discuss potential areas for cooperation and support.
Through the Company Call, EKONID aims to establish a regular platform for information sharing and direct dialogue with German member companies, strengthening communication and providing opportunities to address business-related matters in Indonesia.
EKONID thanks the speakers and participating member companies for contributing to the first session and looks forward to continuing the dialogue through future Company Calls.
