PT Siemens Indonesia, a Premium Partner of AHK Indonesia/EKONID, officially held the Siemens Tech Summit 2026, bringing together around 1,000 industry stakeholders, technology partners, and academics to advance Indonesia’s digital transformation and energy transition agenda.
EKONID was pleased to support Siemens Indonesia and the Siemens Tech Summit 2026, which served as a platform for business exchange, innovation, and cross-sector collaboration. The summit highlighted practical technologies and partnerships that can support Indonesia’s efforts to strengthen industrial competitiveness, improve energy efficiency, and move toward a more sustainable future.
“The Siemens Tech Summit 2026 is not just a showcase of technology; it is a catalyst for execution. By combining our digital portfolios with strong local partnerships, we are helping co-create a more sustainable and competitive future for Indonesia,” said Surya Fitri, President Director and CEO of Siemens Indonesia and Member of the Supervisory Board of AHK Indonesia/EKONID.
A central focus of the summit was Siemens next generation “X” technology portfolio, which connects the real and digital worlds across different sectors. The portfolio includes Industrial Operations X for autonomous and data-driven manufacturing, Electrification X for smarter and more resilient energy systems, Building X for more efficient and sustainable buildings, and Gridscale X to support the transition toward autonomous energy grids.
These solutions were presented alongside dedicated Knowledge Hubs covering key themes such as Financing, Energy transition, Industrial AI, Digital transformation, Sustainability, and Cybersecurity. Participants were also able to explore live demonstrations at the Technology Expo, showcasing how digital technologies can be applied to answer real industrial challenges.
Another key milestone of the summit was the signing of strategic Memorandums of Understanding with PT Accenture Indonesia, PT Prima Layanan Nasional Enjiniring, and PT Telekomunikasi Selular. The collaborations are aimed at accelerating Indonesia’s industrial digitalization through end-to-end digital transformation solutions, stronger power engineering capabilities, and the use of IoT and data analytics to improve enterprise operations.
Through its cooperation with Accenture, Siemens will work to develop and scale digital transformation solutions that integrate Operational Technology and Information Technology, supported by artificial intelligence and digital platforms. The partnership with PLN Enjiniring focuses on strengthening Indonesia’s power engineering ecosystem through engineering services, knowledge exchange, technical cooperation, and capacity-building initiatives. Meanwhile, the collaboration with Telkomsel is designed to support enterprise digitalization through technology upgrades, IoT integration, and advanced data analytics.
Beyond technology and partnerships, Siemens also emphasized the importance of talent development under its University Strategic Partnership Program. At the summit, Siemens announced software grants for seven Indonesian universities, providing access to PSS® SINCAL software for advanced power system simulation and engineering education. The recipient institutions are STEI ITB, Institut Teknologi Nasional Malang, Universitas Brawijaya, Institut Teknologi Sumatera, Universitas Trisakti, Universitas Jember, and Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya.
Each university will receive software valued at IDR 100 million, expanding Siemens’ education-focused initiatives to more institutions across Indonesia. The program builds on earlier cooperation with universities such as ITS and IT PLN, where the software has been integrated into the curriculum since 2024 and has helped students gain practical skills relevant to the energy and power sectors.
To further support the development of future engineers, Siemens will also launch a SINCAL student competition next year. The competition will challenge student teams to solve real-world power system cases using the software, with submissions evaluated by industry experts.
Through the Siemens Tech Summit 2026, Siemens Indonesia underlined its commitment to supporting Indonesia’s industrial transformation, digitalization, and transition toward a more resilient and sustainable energy system. EKONID welcomes this commitment and looks forward to continuing its cooperation with Siemens Indonesia in strengthening business, technology, and innovation ties between Germany and Indonesia.
