On 10 June 2026, AHK Indonesia/EKONID successfully convened its 54th Annual Members Meeting, AMM, at AYANA Midplaza Jakarta, bringing together more than 100 members of the German-Indonesian business community.

On 10 June 2026, AHK Indonesia/EKONID successfully convened its 54th Annual Members Meeting, AMM, at AYANA Midplaza Jakarta, bringing together more than 100 members of the German-Indonesian business community. 

 

The meeting was honored by the presence of H.E. Ralf Beste, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Indonesia, ASEAN, and the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, who delivered welcoming remarks and highlighted the strong and growing economic partnership between Germany and Indonesia.  

 

Following the Ambassador’s remarks, the AMM was officially opened by EKONID Chairman Mr. Prijono Sugiarto, who also provided a comprehensive review of EKONID’s achievements and activities throughout the past year. 
 
The Chamber’s financial statement was presented by EKONID Vice Chairman Mr. Rainer Ruppel, who confirmed that EKONID’s finances remain healthy. EKONID Executive Director Dr. Monika Erath then provided further insights into the Chamber’s activities and upcoming initiatives for 2026.

Additionally, we are pleased to announce the results of the election of the EKONID Supervisory Board for the 2026-2028 term. 
 

The newly elected Supervisory Board members are: 
 

  • Mr. Prijono Sugiarto – Chairman, President Commissioner of PT Astra International Tbk.
  • Mr. Rainer Ruppel – Vice Chairman, Managing Director of PT B. Braun Medical Indonesia and PT B. Braun Pharmaceutical Indonesia 
  • Mr. Alexander Grenz – Country Manager and President Director of PT Asuransi Allianz Life Indonesia 
  • Mr. Surya Fitri – President Director and CEO of PT Siemens Indonesia 
  • Mr. Philipp Kersting – Partner Location Head at Luther LLP Indonesia 
  • Mr. Daniel Schoenert – President Director of PT. thyssenkrupp Uhde Indonesia 

 

We are also pleased to announce the continuation of Mr. Prijono Sugiarto’s leadership as Chairman of the EKONID Supervisory Board following his re-election, as well as the continuation of Mr. Rainer Ruppel as Vice Chairman. 
 
We look forward to continuing our close cooperation with all members of the 2026–2028 Supervisory Board.

    EKONID Participates in Delegation Visit to Intersolar Europe

    From 22–26 June 2026, EKONID participated in the Intersolar Europe exhibition series at Messe München in Munich, Germany, and joined site visits to two agrivoltaic photovoltaic (Agri-PV) projects in Bavaria as part of the Indonesian delegation facilitated by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). The delegation included representatives from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, PLN, the Ministry of Finance, the Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (BMKG), Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), the Indonesian Solar Energy Association (AESI), and other key stakeholders. The programme provided opportunities to engage with German companies and institutions, explore the latest renewable energy technologies, and promote Indonesia's investment potential.

    From 24 to 27 June 2026, AHK Indonesia/EKONID participated in Messe München’s ASEAN Training Days in Shanghai, organized by the International Sales team of Messe München, one of the world's leading trade fair organizers headquartered in Germany, with support from Messe Muenchen International Asia’s Shanghai office. The program gathered Messe München representatives from across ASEAN, including Indonesia, to strengthen collaboration, sales capabilities, and market knowledge within the region.
