EKONID joined German institutions in Indonesia at Deutsche Schule Jakarta’s “Germany Calling” event to provide guidance on studying, qualification recognition and career pathways in Germany.

News Deutsche Schule Event

On 24 January 2026, AHK Indonesia/EKONID participated in the “Germany Calling” event hosted by Deutsche Schule Jakarta, alongside several German institutions active in Indonesia. The event created a platform for exchange between German and Indonesian stakeholders, focusing on opportunities related to living, studying and working in Germany, as well as structured education-to-career pathways.

During the programme, EKONID’s ProRecognition Indonesia team delivered a dedicated presentation addressing the recognition of Indonesian qualifications for employment in Germany. The session provided practical information for prospective skilled workers on procedures, requirements and support mechanisms. At the EKONID booth, the team also conducted individual consultations, responding to specific questions from participants regarding qualification recognition and career prospects.

The event further featured a high-level panel discussion with H.E. Ralf Beste, Ambassador-Designate of the Federal Republic of Germany to Indonesia, representatives from German universities, alumni, parents and EKONID Board Member Philipp Kersting. The discussion examined long-term education and career pathways in Germany, highlighting academic opportunities, labour market prospects and bilateral cooperation in skills development.

The strong participation and engagement reflected continued interest in Germany as a destination for higher education and professional careers. EKONID values the collaboration with Deutsche Schule Jakarta and all participating institutions in facilitating informed dialogue on education and employment pathways between Indonesia and Germany.
